Red White and Black

I’ve been looking for the perfect fur coat for a very long time  (Faux fur of course, with the exception of shearling) I finally found it while I was shopping in Boston. Lo and behold I didn’t find it in some exotic Bostonian boutique, but rather from Zara. Mainstream doesn’t hurt, and it also doesn’t break the wallet. The oversized fit of the coat makes it able to wear sweaters and jackets beneath when the temperatures  drop – perfect for easily cold me :)

Gloves are essential for survival in the cold and these black leather with wool lining gloves work with most outfits . When it gets really cold, I also pair this look with a large wool or cashmere scarf.

I found this wonderful blazer in Boston (never been used) at “Second Time Around” on Newbury street. It comes from the French brand IRO, who are known for their amazing tweed blazers. It was marked down 50% of its original price, ah what a good buy!

Isn’t there just something about the blazer that says Power? I love a good statement piece.

All of these pictures are taken in my garden, I really wanted to take advantage of the beautiful light. There’s just something magical in the air when the sun goes down, but unfortunately this does not last long, so the shoot was a race against the clock. I love the open back of the Bik Bok shirt I’m wearing, and the top is also a good basic piece.
