Just under a month ago we celebrated Norway’s national holiday, the 17th of May. Needless to say we really “celebrated” ;) On the 16th we all met up at Caro’s, and the day after I painfully woke up at 9 to have breakfast at Daniel’s friend’s house. I don’t have a bunad, the national costume, so I opted for a red, white, and blue, outfit instead. The dress is from Theory, and is knitted, but feels like thin silk.
With Nadine, the 16th and 17th.My camera was borrowed…
Odin is wearing “Russ” pants, celebrating the end of high school. Alexandra is wearing a bunad, the national costume. They differ from region to region. I love the embroideries on hers!
The costume is ridiculously expensive due to the vast amounts of silver used. The pins are beautifully handcrafted, and usually passed down in families.
Saw this gorgeous bag as I was walking around. Please be mine.
At Jeremy’s with Daniel :-)
Shrimp and mayonnaise sandwich, typical Norwegian summer food.
Walking around Oslo, enjoying the sun and great weather!
Let me know what you think! Enjoy your Saturday evening,
